Arms of Richard de Feringes

Feringes

From the Dering Roll (c. 1270-1300)

Blazon: Argent two bars gemelle, in chief a lion passant gules

It seems possible that these may be the arms of Richard de Ferings, Archbishop of Dublin. He was a close friend and colleague of John Peckham, Archbishop of Canterbury, whom he worked with until Pope Boniface VIII appointed him to Dublin in 1299.
