Arms of Ditzingen, Germany

Granted 1976

Blazon: Per pale argent two crampoons* in saltire gules and of the second, in chief a cross paté and in base a plowshare of the first.

*German blazon distinguishes between the figures of the Mauerhaken and the Wolfsangel; the former is a construction implement, and the latter is a hunting tool. The figures here are specified as Mauerhaken. Since the English crampoon is also based on a piece of metal used for strengthening buildings, it seems to be the most accurate translation.
