Arms of Carral, Spain

In use since at least 1227

Blazon: Azure a tower between two plates, in chief as many escallops argent and three plates, all within a bordure* gules charged with eight saltires couped gules

*The bordure was granted in 1227 by Ferdinand III after the successful siege of the castle of Baeza in recognition of Carral’s contributions. The actual arms have probably been in use longer.
