More variations on the bar

From The Blazon of Gentrie by Sir John Ferne, p183-4 (1586)

Left: Arms of Blithefield. Ferne’s blazon here is: “Argent a chief gules party in base bar indented sable.” The latter charge was also variously referred to as a point or base since the 1300s; referring to it as a bar seems to be exclusive to Ferne.
